I've been a huge Mustang fan for years and have owned everything from late 90 GT's to Cobra's. I sold my last Cobra about 7 or 8 years ago and got off the Mustang kick until the 05 body style was introduced.

As blasphemous as it sounds (I'm the sales manager at a GM dealership ), we just took in an 07 Mustang that I don't think I can pass up. I love the Camaro, but it's a heavy pig and obviously would cost quite a bit more.

2007 GT black with red interior
1,400 original miles
Vortech polished HO intercooled supercharger
Complete Cervini's body kit
Custom painted stripes

OK this should be fun. What would you consider a good deal? The guy has $18,003 in receipts for the work. Quite steep in my opinion but never the less.

I agree with Sparta. If you can get a good deal, go for it! That is a sweet looking ride. The only downside is all the mods are pretty much done so that takes away some of the fun of doing them yourself...

Thats a great looking stang. 1400 miles, thats nothing, practically brand new. The cervini stuff is very pricey. Dont doubt it cost him that much for all that aftermarket. Blue book is prolly $18k/20k??? What can you get it for?

Your about right. KBB is 19,700 and Nada Clean is 20,500. Retail is somewhere around 24ish. They've been going for anywhere between 19 and 25k at the block with that kind of mileage.

My cost would be less than 22k.

If you can afford it, that is an amazing deal for that car With only 1400 miles that means that you will break in that car basically. I am always afraid of buying used sports cars as I have no idea what the condition of the motor is and how it was driven.

I just got a new 2010 for about $28,000 ($35,500 list) before taxes. I think $25,000 is way to high for a 2007. I would say 18,000 to $20,000 is about right.

The 25k number is actual auction sales, not speculative figures. Mint condition low mileage cars bring good money. As mentioned, I could purchase it for 21,900 as it sits, or I could buy a 2010 for 28,000 and then sink another 8k into it for a blower. That brings you up to 36,000 and this has a body kit and 1400 miles.

I'd agree on the 18-20k number on a bone stock one.

Post more pics and we can give you a definitive answer...but from the looks of it, if you have the spare cash, and like the color and style, GO FOR IT...
If you like the 2010 model better, then just wait for that one and build it up at your own pace...

It looks like a really nice car. How does it run? Is it smooth? Does it look like all the mods were done professionally with attention to detail...? Since the car is supercharged, does it have the fuel system upgraded to the GT500 setup, who tuned to car, does it have an SCTX3 tuner, etc...

Can you have the car dynoed and verify the tune to make sure there is nothing weird...?

The main reason I'm leaning towards this is the fact that I'm not a huge fan of throwing gobs of money at depreciating items. This car is a testament to how bad you lose money on resale. He invested 18k in upgrades and got 3k of it back on trade. Including the cost of the car, he probably lost 50% of his initial investment.

The car appears to run smooth with no hiccups or anomalies that really stick out. The work was done by a shop that specializes restoring custom cars. Talking with them they said they upgraded the fuel pump and injectors. The tune was done via the hand held programmer, so no dyno tune with it.

Can you have the car dynoed and verify the tune to make sure there is nothing weird...?

We have a dyno shop a couple hours from here. I will end up bringing it over there and having a professional tune done on it if I end up purchasing it.

Thanks, I've all but pulled the trigger on it. I better do something if I'm going to before it sells though. We've had a few customers already trying to buy it.
