I've been accepted in this College/University I applied earlier this summer. I was on the waiting list but I got a call this morning and there's a spot for me. I wont be able to afford it and I already have a lown for my car and credit card debts. I really dont know how much I should be asking..

Sell it fully loaded or part it ?

But I dont wanna be stangless for more than a year. Next summer, if everything goes to plan, I'll have my notch

How much did you put into it? How much do you need to clear your debts?

What are you going to be studying btw?

I put a LOT. I have all the bills. Propably more than 14 000$, and I'm beeing very conservative. (if I add everything).

I'm maybe down 20 000$ or so. I dont know but I know the car has to go.

I'm gonna learn chit to be an electrician. Nothing fancy. Can work on construction sites, both residential or industrial, or cable companies or whatever else. It pays ok also. They say when you come out you'll be making an average 22$/hour. We'll see about that.

I unfortunately have no choice. I wont be able to work full time so there's no way I'll be able to keep it. Unless I sell my body

Lots of job openings these days in that field but you won't be making $22/hr. right away, will you? Because if so I think I'll go back to school too Can't you just get a DEP or something instead? Have a talk with some companies and see what they suggest, maybe you can get a job (that pays less mind you) but if they pay for your education or at least give you a job so you can afford to go to school? I don't know...

Seems like the most you could sell your car would be 15,000$ IMO but there are lots of 'stang nuts that appreciate what you've done so maybe if your lucky it can go as high as $20,000? The only problem is that Ford has the 0% interest on new cars. You could get a new Mach 1 or Cobra for about the same payments as a $20,000 loan (from what a salesman was telling me the other week)

It says here between 22-30$/hour on their website

For 15000$, I'd be losing way to much money. And I doubt I could get 20000$ for it. It's worth that though..
Maybe I should strip it then ?

Even stripped i doubt you'll get that much unfortunatly, and will be a big PITA

Have you look with emploi-Quebec to see if they wouldnt pay for you study? they do for me, pay the school the books and give me 68$ for gas per week

you also have student loan you can look and in the last resort, you could look for a "consolidation de dette" they would take all you owe, pay it for you then you only need to repay them monthly

I'm in the process right now. I have an appointment on Friday. I want them to still pay me my "chomage".

But for consolidation de dettes, they would take both my cars so how the hell would I go to school (about 20kms from here not in the same part AT ALL) ?

You're an ideot to sell that car after all the work gone into it.

Put it in a steel shipping container - forget you have it.
I'm sure you'll find another way to get to school.

You'll never get another one after if you do - you'll be broker when you're done school than ever.
