I installed a Ford Racing mini starter a few weeks ago. Since I've installed it, I've noticed it seems to be louder and have a "looser" feel to it when cranking than the stock one (although the stock one was silent).

Is this normal?

It's a starter; not rocket science to install, so I doubt something got screwed up.
