Mine didn't work at first either, nor did my lighter, but i took the center console off, and pluged the plugs in, and bam it worked. If that dosen't work get the new switch from 50resto

Before you just buy one, take it out and take it apart. Mine was only working in the up and right ways, so i cleaned all the contacts and stuff in the switch with fine sandpaper and cleaned the crud out of it and now it works perfect. But be careful when you take it apart..... there are some springs in it that you have to get back in the right position or it won't work.

Mine died just after I bought the car, it turned out to be a fuse.
