Before I get my car repainted this spring i'd like to ditch the stock gt mirrors for the 03-04 Cobra 2-piece mirrors. idk i just think they look alot better plus they fold away. Anyways will they fit out cars? is fabrication needed or do they hook right up?

I've read they'll bolt right on, but the wiring is different. Only one way to find out, but someone over here has done it. I just don't remember who?

They do bolt right up but you have to cut the black molding that goes on the door. The old (original) mirrors allow the molding (trim?) to run the entire width of the door-you have to cut them where the cobra mirrors begin. I've done it twice and you cant even tell it's not stock.

sounds good thanks for the info guys. Anyone know where i can purchase the mirrors other than a ford dealer? 03/04 cobras arent too common so i doubt if i'll find one in a salvage yard.

ebay is where I'd start. Sometimes you see guys parting-out write-off cars on there.

I just checked a couple sites and wow.........like $299 for each mirror! Can't imagine paying $600, $450, or anything near those amounts.

Blue Oval Industries has the 94/95 replacement side mirrors for $45 each. That's in my ballpark.
