so today i discover my intake manifold is cracked by the cross over. (thanks ford for your dumbass design.)

so i go get a new one and i put it in..

while i was doing it i changed the plugs...

now mind you the car did not have a miss..

put it all back together and now i have a miss on cylinder 2... so i think i have a bad plug ... any suggestions..?

i pulled the fuel rail again on that side make sure there was pressure and that injector spit fuel out at me so im almost positive its not an injector ...

it will start up idle fine for a second and then start missing..

Its a good Idea to chang the spark plugs when you have the intake manifold off, is it possible you have coolant where the spark plug is located. Sparkplug may be fouled cause the coolant leak. Then check the COP if the plug is ok. Burns might chime w/the specifics?!

I'm assuming you have a programmer or scanner of some type since you got a code for the misfire.

What do the fuel trims look like? You had the intake off; dont rule out a vacuum leak as well. Also try swapping coils and see if the miss moves to another cylinder.

so i have another issue but i think its weather related... car was running fine all day yesterday until it started pouring raining outside and now itll miss at idle but randomly and it was doing it worse after i drove home from work trying to avoid the big puddles.. open the hood and its very wet by the a/c evaporator and stuff so im thinking the coils gotwet and are fouling ? ...

I've changed a handful of COPS on my modulars, and usually end up just replacing all of them. On my current car, I noticed some hairline cracks around the mounting tab on a few of the coils, and some of them just tested out of spec. Whenever it would get really humid out, the engine would misfire a bit. You can try taking the boots off of your COPS, clean everything, spray the rubber boots down with silicone spray, and reassemble with dielectric grease. If that doesn't do it, scan for a misfire and find out which cylinder is misfiring, and swap that COP with another. See if the misfire moves to another cylinder. If it does, replace that coil.
