I have a few problems, some of which have been recently mentioned in the CCRM thread. The purple car has been hit or miss on starting. Sometimes, once started, it will die while driving. Sometimes, it will even turn back on while coasting. I've been having fuel pump codes. I put in a 255 lph pump on saturday. I got her started this evening. It's missing really bad during a rev, and it's a really rough rev. It's also running very rich. I pulled my plugs. I don't see anything real crazy. My number 5 plug has a bit more color to it ans some wear near the base. I'm replacing my TFI module, Ignition coil, plugs, plug wires and my temp sensor "gauge doesn't work". Is there anything else some of you would suggest?

Thank you

new TFI module
new ignition coil

new wires
cleaned K&N

I'm good to go.

check on your distributor I had similar problems and after a lot of head banging I finially tracked it down to the pick up inside the dist. It will completely fail and leave you stranded.
hope this helps good luck

Glad to hear you got it worked out. Sounds like either the TFI or coil were bad. Tell your friend to come back to the site by the way. They haven't had any activity here since 2004!!!
