modern dash in 66

Actually I spent over $8,000 on valance, trunk, hood, bonnet, glass, rubbers, wheels, chrome bits, door locks, electric windows etc - all from advertisers in M&F. I also offered to cover the cost of the photoshoot.......

oh well........

Then that's even more reason to screw 'em... I go back and forth about the magazines, but most of the time they just piss me off with their patronizing tone and generally misleading articles. This is especially true with Mustang and Fords, which has done nothing to really improve itself in spite of it's new "make over". They still don't do any real testing of their own and blindly accept whatever their advertisers say.

Anyway, I did spend a minute to write MRaburn (the founder of Stangnet) and encouraged him to consider your car (and the SN65 fastback) for a possible feature article on the main page. I think it'd be fabulous to have some early model stuff along side all the new '05 press that's being posted. Heck, maybe some sort of semi-regular "Stangnet member's car feature" or something woud be nice?

Speaking of Electric windows, how did you end up getting them? (Electric Life I presume). I need to locate some in the near future. Did you get them for all 4 or just the front?

I installed all four.....they work great. yes - 'electric life', made in italy - very good quality.

pic of the door trim, note elec window central locking switches. also controlls on side of the ZX300 seats, yet to install speakers. If i show all the pics you'll have nothing to look forward to. besides it is such a saga to post a pic the way we have to now, i can only cope with one a day.

Car looks incredible. Can you help us source similar dashes (with steering wheel on the RIGHT side. I have a 66 coupe that I would like to upgrade with
a new dash.

Ozestang, I bought my elect windows thru Haneline Morongo Valley CA, i think, most of the US retailers can get them....I usually import such items myself. They're heavy and you should get a price on the airfreight before they send them. I shipped them thru Roley Leahy on the Gold Coast. It takes much longer by sea but saves hundreds $ over airfreight.

As I said earlier in this thread I do not know what US cars have dashes the same as the one I used from an Australian Falcon. Just visit the wrecking yard and pick a dash you like. Then the hard part comes in - you have to make it fit which is simply seeing where it dosn't fit and correcting the problem! (alternative - pay some custom shop a bundle and they will do it for you.) Sorry I cannot be more helpfull....

I will do a couple of post here at Stangnet to see if anyone has an idea of what car has the closest fit. I might be hard pressed to find a Falcon dash.
My Ideal Mustang would be one that has the 64 - 73 body styles with all the modern safety and comfort features. Personally, I do not care for the 2005. I like my 2000 and 66 much better. Besides my 66 Stroker kicks butt
