He could always put cobra maf, computer, and the 24lb injectors in and it’ll run fine.

With just a cam and explorer intake, the 19lb injectors will be fine though.

You never answered my question.

What are you trying to accomplish with this car?

There will be a noticeable difference. With how cheap you can pick up some gt40s, it’s tough to argue against putting them on. Just make sure you install new springs too.

If you have the parts laying around I say go for it.

I think @Wayne Waldrep is looking for you to be a little more specific. There are just as many ways to make the car more fun, without even adding more power. What’s the intended use for the car, daily driver, occasional drag strip use, show queen? What’s your budget? GT40 heads would be great until you look around and see how cheap a used set of twisted wedge heads are now that the 11rs have taken over. If you start buying parts without an end game in mind you’re going to either end up with a miss matched combo or a pile of parts you’ll have to sell in order to start over and do it right

I personally would recommend the GT40P heads as they are a little better that the standard GT40 heads. You will for sure need to replace the springs on them as they are weak like the TFS Spring Kit offered. The only issue with them is the spark plug angle is a little more to the header tubes, so what I have used is a 90* spark plug boot for better fitment over the standard 120*

If you're running stock heads, save your money on MAF. The stock E7's can't support enough airflow to make any appreciable horsepower (without a turbo or blower), thus there's not a lot of sense in trying to open up anything in front of the cylinder heads since they are mostly the bottleneck.

When you save your pennies for a set of aftermarket heads, cam, intakes, THEN you can worry with the MAF, tubing, and ECU stuff. When that time comes, you can go with a quarterhorse, 80lb Siemens deka injectors, and tune it yourself. 80's seem like a LOT (and they are) but they will usually work well at very low pulsewidth (good idle and low RPM manners), yet give you PLENTY of room to grow if that need arises. You might even be able to sell your current ECU and MAF to someone who needs them for their Cobra, and use that toward your mods. Reason I mention the quarterhorse is because you NEED to tune, even a stock engine could benefit from tuning it. The stock A9L's maximum ignition timing is 26 degrees, which is real conservative. One might pick up some power just in increasing the timing to 34 or so, might see 20hp or so. No, just advancing the distributor won't help and stands to make it worse in other areas such as part throttle cruise.

I've got a '93 GT that is bone stock, and I plan on leaving it that way. It's got enough to get me around ok, it is slow, it's sluggish, but it's one of the VERY few stock GT's around that I know of. Most of them are modded heavily. Also have a '92 GT with a 427w and a '92 coupe 4 cylinder. Honestly? I drive the coupe everywhere...daily and then some...I like it better than either of the GT's.

one issue with the gt40P heads is the headers. If you don't have headers that fit them then your cheaper off with the regulator gt40 heads.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

I have a set of GT40 heads from a 94' Cobra with about 140,000 miles. Ran fine when we pulled them. Could probably do with new valve seals and a basic valve job. It's not the head I would put on one of my cars, but if that's what you are really after, let me know. I'd be happy to move them along to a happy customer. Probably cost more to ship than they are worth though.
