I was looking over the different tools avaible for PDR and I was curious as to what a slide hammer is and how it works..and the long metal rods with the bent edge of it was?
The axle bearings in the rear end and the pilot bearing for the tranny are the first ones that spring to mind. You can also use it as a dent puller. I picked mine up for about $30 at harbor freight.
Slide hammers come in a variety of sizes, and they have a wide variety of uses. They are sometimes used for bearing removal as stated, but they are often used for body work as well. There are various attachments that thread on to the end for different tasks. I don't think they would be very useful for PDR though
