More than ONE GT500 steering wheel??

Okay I see this on Ebay and in some promo pics for the GT500....

And I have seen this one in other GT500 promo pics...

I have also seen this one and have seen it in person at dealerships. Where can I get this one?

Im sure you can order one from Ford through a dealership.

IMO buying a different steering wheel is a huge waste of $$$$$$$.

Well everyone has their price for toys.

For me the stock steering wheel is a joke. No thumb detents, hell, even my wife's Focus has those! The diameter of the ring is too small as well.

It's just not designed with any kind of performance driving in mind. The damn thing breaks your thumbs.

And as for ordering from Ford, no one can confirm what I'd be getting exactly. This has been my problem.

That's the one I saw at the autoshow; That's the real GT500 steering wheel. It's also in the ford racing parts catalog, part # M-3600-C. No price listed for it though.

BTW the first GT500 wheel looks like the plastic base wheel with a GT500 airbag cover.

Second Pic is the real deal

Third Pic is the prototype GT500 wheel that never made it to production.

Yeah that first wheel is a scam if I ever saw one.

I have personally seen the one in the third pic with the thumb detents on 3 shelbys around here. It is the one available from ford racing. It's like 449 retail but employee cost is 359, go figure, LOL.

I too have seen the third one in person on a GT500 at a dealership. I just wanted to make sure if I ordered it, it was the same thing. That the dealers hadn't installed some aftermarket wheel.

And yes that Ebay auction was a scam...of sorts. Stock GT wheel with GT500 cap. The auction has since vanished.

And none have the third steering wheel... The third wheel was on the prototype GT500, not the production.

SO they went for the leather and red stiching but not the thumb detents....BAH!
