ive been getting an irregular CEL for a bit now, put my code scanner on it, and got a 34 and 91, the 34 ive been chasing for a while (new egr valve, sensor, solenoid, no vac leaks in the system, voltages seem fine), and i just swapped O2's side-for-side to see if the code for that follows. took it on a short drive just now, and it CEL'd again, this time with a 34 again (typical ) and a 44 out of the blue (not a 41 like i was kinda expecting to see).
i am running gt40p's now (need to update the sig, i know), and since my original head-side air pipe was broken and re-cobbled together, i just ran a hose straight from the first valve off the air pump to the cats, and pulled the second valve out with a cap on the vac line. could this arrangement somehow make this code appear? is it even ok to run it this way? or could it still just be a wonky O2?
