No problems after 2 years. BTW , the new FRPP gears are having a few problems with noise.

Motive gears are just as good as FRPP i have the ford set only because they were the cheapest I could find however I have had them in my F-150 for about 70k with no problems. As long as they are set up correctly you will have no problems with motive or richmond gears.

I am not slamming FRPP gears. They did change something in the past year with their gearsets, they way the teeth are cut or maybe a different metal. There was a time when some brands of gears made noise. Today, most of the time it is from not being installed properly if you have a problem. I know someone running a real cheap set of gears from National Drivetrain in an 800+hp car and no problems. I see about 4 or 5 gear installs a month in many types of vehicles, Motive , FRPP, NDT, haven't seen a bad set. Like I said earlier, the install makes the most difference.

The fact is that aftermarket gears be it richmond, motive or FRPP are good quality pieces and if INSTALLED TO THE CORRECT TOLERANCES will be relatively trouble free. Just dont use richmond race gears in your street car.
