motor mount lowering

Anyone ever modify stock mounts to lower their engine? I'm looking for hood clearance. I am also intrested in websites that discuss drive line angles. Links appreciated.

I used this mount to lower the Cleveland in our '65 coup 3/4". You can see the stock hole. All I did was drill a new hole lower on the bracket. These are early '65 or '64 Falcon mounts. It's not rocket science but it worked.

The small bolt is to hold it all together.

Do you have powersteering or long tube headers? If so on either, then I do not recommend lowering the mounts. I have clearance issues as well- what intake, carb, aircleaner, hood, setup are you using?

I want to fit a blow through turbo under a stock hood with a 351w. I am not dead set on moving the motor down, just rearching incase it comes to it.
