any ideas on the best way to change out motor mounts without pulling motor? I just got my motor in and ofcourse now they break... POS... i really don't want to pull it all back out but will if it has to be. :( Please bring me good news.

that's the way i did mine, just put a block of wood under the oil pan, unbolt, jack up, unbolt it from the body. install new ones and your done. then again they said you can't do your oil pan gasket without lifting up the engine and i did.

Yea, all you have to do is lift the motor high enough so the studs on the motor mounts can clear the K-member. I would probably loosen the block bolts before lifting the motor, might make it easier so the motor aint rocking around everywhere when your trying to pry on them. Pretty straight forward.

if you have the stock fan, it is best to loosen the shroud so you can jack the motor higher (w/o the fan blade hitting the top of the shroud).

it can take some finagling on the pass side to get one of the mount bolts out (i disconnected the battery and the starter cable at the starter. then i was able to get the rear bolt in and out).

also note that some parts store mounts dont have the same bolt shank size as the old ones (meaning fasteners dont fit).

if using oem replacements, i would use the captured mounts from a vert (or a 93, as the captured vert mount became standard by 93). Jrichker has a post about doing them, with some specs, IIRC.

good luck.
