MSD 6A #2 died. suggestions for others

well my second MSD 6A just died, and I want to replace it with something else. I hear the Crane stuff is much more reliable, but there are so many different kinds. so I'm looking for some suggestions to replace the 6A with a comperable unit. This is going on a totally stock 86 GT daily driver. The 6A was a perfect setup other than being reliable. I see Mallory has some also. All suggestions greatly appreciated

where was it mounted? It could keep getting heat soaked if under the hood. Id buy a new 6al2 and mount it inside the car.

it's mounted between the air filter box, and strut tower

Thanks for the tip on the MSD. I was looking into getting a 6Al but now i'm going to avoid the MSD brand. I heard too much about those things burning out. So yeah, I too would like to know what works as well as a 6Al but is more reliable.
