MSD6A ignition

well I just bought a MSD6A ignition anybody have this ? any feedback? whats the difference between this and the MSD6AL? and SOTP differnece?

I bought it for 45 dollars new in box and figured what the hell



any feedback would be appreciated

6AL has a built-in rev limiter. I don't think you need to install any resistors on a MAF car, but I made the mistake of doing this on a Speed Density car and subsequently fried the ignition box. Call MSD to find out, or I'm sure someone on here knows whether or not your car needs them. As far as feedback goes, good call! For $45 an MSD CDS is a great buy.

can anybody give me install instructions and ideas on where to mount it?

call summit, they have a pig tail with all the connections made by MSD. It's like $20 bucks, worth the hassle of not dity.

I mounted mine on the underside of were the battery is located. It hides the bolt heads and the unit is dry and well ventilated.

The 6al has a soft touch rev limiter.
