I just bought a slightly used Flowmaster American Thunder catback. It's missing the 2 muffler clamps & I was wondering if these would work. I don't wanna have to get anything welded at the muffler shop. Anyone ever use these lap joint clamps? Think these would work better than the standard clamps?

I think those clamps work very well. The only problem I have seen with them, is sometimes there isn't enough clearance around where you are trying to clamp. Like if a hanger is welded to the pipe close to the clamp. Sometimes they are too big. I had this problem on my X-pipe.

yeah they do if you over torque them. I have them and they work fine without crimping my pipes.
