Muffler Install

I put in my Flowmasters last night and I really would like to thank the engineer at Ford that designed the hangar brackets. I am not a mechanic by any means but I thought I would have had an easier time doing this. I was crying so loud that my wife thought I had Hillary Clinton in the garage. I have done all of my mods myself other than the gear swap and this was the worst. Lowering the car took longer but even that was easier than this. At least I had the instruction sheet from Flowmaster. If you haven't seen it then here is basically what it says:

1. Remove old mufflers and brackets.

2. Install new mufflers and brackets.

Good thing I had that or I would have still been out there trying to install the new ones without taking the old ones out first.

I am thinking about having them welded in when I take my car out in the spring but I am worried about any issues I might have with broken baffles, I have heard that these things sometimes have that problem. Should I weld them in anyway? BTW these things don't seem to be of the highest quality but soundwise they are about what I was looking for. Does anyone know if I can have these powdercoated or something, I would love to get to take them back out again to have them coated.

dont weld them. you will be sorry if/when you need to take them off. they tighten pretty good if you torque them down.

I just had a tough time getting to some of the bolts. It probably doesn't help that I have pretty big hands but I would think that they could have made it easier to access the bolts. I am assuming it has something to do with the fact that all 4 brackets are identical to save money in manufacturing.
