Anyone use that muffler repair bondo type stuff in a can? I
know welding is the real way, I just wonder if it works/how
long it lasts. For $3 I wonder. But I almost want to spend it just to see how it works....thus this question.

Welding? No, buying a new one is the real way. The can stuff does work depending on how big the hole is... for a little while. It's a bandaid. Not intended to make you stop bleeding, just stop making a mess till shower time.

I only have a minor crack where the joiner tube welds on the catted H pipe.
Buy a new one? $400 for a 5 minute weld job
You buy me one.
Won't take any advice from you. lol

Go ahead and do it. Then do it again, then do it again, then do it again... put a price on your time and the PIA it is, realise that it happened because they are either damaged, defective or worn out, and it's just going to keep causing problems until you put a new one in, and then remind yourself why you didn't take any advice from me. Been there, done that. BTW, I paid $150 for my OEM catted H-pipe.

i used that stuff on my flow tube it had a bad gash in it and tons of holes. i got it to pass the sniffer test with muffler tape but when i would kick it out to 4-5k it would blow off. so like stated it isnt worth crap buy a new one.

I used to work at a muffler shop, it doesn't work. The only time I ever used that stuff is to use it like silicone for exhaust flange gaskets. If you put it on there the next time you put the boards to your car it will fly off like a champagne cork on new years. Pay the money and weld it if you can, besides put that sh$t on just make the guy have to clean it more to weld it.
