muslecar on spike tv is working on a 5.0 now

so you gonna back half your car this weekend? :jester:

what suprises me about the build is the lack of support braces inside the car. there is no support other than the body panels.

If I remember correctly they were still only getting 340 hp out of the final setup! How many people here have more than that and don't have the back halved like that and have little to no problem with traction. I used to do some freelance work for them (carmera) and one thing I learned was they have great ideas then they go overboard. Stacy David (former host of Trucks) was the only one who really knows his stuff, a shame he has moved on, and took Copperhead along with him.

Yeah people were screaming at them to do a Stang build up, but nobody asked you to ruin one on tv! Great Going!

Did you not watch the show and see that they cut out the whole back half of the car? It could have been done with quaility suspension parts like MM stuff. But MM is not a spronsor and they where probably faced with the same choice as we are with the show I do. Not really using the best for the job, but who pays the bills.

they dont have the power to back half a car, but it is a good show on what to expect when doing this mod. most viewers will never do this, so its more for show than go in this case.

That wasnt a Rerun and I really wasnt too happy to see them cut up a Cherry Notch. The kid that does the great Bodywork has been missing from the show the past few weeks, hope he did not quit and leave the loud mouth dude by himself.

Where did Stacey David go? That sucks that he's really gone. He really made it easy for people to understand what he was doing. Copperhead was one sweet truck!
In general - the whole powerblock show schedule is great! I definately look forward to it on Saturdays or Sundays (I make sure to watch one of the days).
You can't miss Jessi Combs on Xtreme 4x4, There's nothing like a hot chick who isn't afraid to get dirty!
That notch was on two shows. The 1st show - Horsepower - was a good class on HCI upgrades, exhaust, ignition, etc.
They butchered the car on Musclecar :nonono:

Four-Link Mustang
Horsepower's Mustang project has more engine than its suspension can handle - so Lou and Mike Galley build a four-link rear and a roll cage to get all that power on the track.
i tried to find a pic, but no luck. :(

They cut out the entire rear-end - floor and all - to fabricate a custom suspension setup. Blah!

Yeah on a 300HP Nitrous car.

I don't think it needed to be back-halved. I actually cried when i saw them pulling apart the mint black interior and cutting the entire rear of the car out. :(

I thought it was pretty interesting to see it done, overkill for the power it will be putting out, yes. That was nice notchback to be cutting up but were not talking about something really rare like a 93 cobra here. Drag racers have been cutting up mustangs for long time now.

Also just doing the usual rear UCA and LCA install would of been boring for television, its about as interesting as seeing someone install a catback.
