Mustang a "chick car"?

That doesn't surprise me in the least bit. For the Camaro boys have always been jealous over the Mustang, and always will. So of course, they have nothing better to do, than to whine like little girly men.

It's just like the saying goes. Misery loves company :rlaugh:

My brother was giving me crap for driving a chick car the other day. I asked him where his STi is (as he wants one). Naturally he drives a Civic and he was a huge Trans Am fan near the end of their run. I'm like don't get me started. That's one thing I think we all can agree on.... the lines of the Mustang (especially the s197) are legendary. The STi... nope.

I definatly agree that the mustang lines are legendary.. But how many years of reputation does the mustang have under its belt to be precise?

Owning both an STI and an s197, i have to say. in my part of the woods in Ontario, i get Far, Far, FAR more looks in my STI, than i do the stang'.

In my idea - How many mustangs do you see a year? 1000? 5000? how many are sold yearly?
same question for the STI.
Obviously, a much more rare vehicle. its style may not be legendary, but damn. Its definitly more bold. I don't know many production vehicles that have slapped a stock hoodscoop 5" high on the hood, with a rear window diffuser, and a functional wing that rivials the sight (good or bad) of a 1story bungalow with a 12/12 roof!

I love both vehicles, but at heart. i truely believe the STI is definatly a stronger look, because you Don't see them every day. now as for the 08's.. don't get me started :notnice:

A little history for why mustangs were secretary "chick" cars. Dusk Rose was a Standard Ford Mustang color, but only used in small amounts for a very short time. Mustangs that bear this color can be recognized by the 'S' color code on the Vehicle Data Plate, attached to the door. If you have a '67 Mustang in a slightly different color, but with the 'S' code, it probably began its life as a pink one. The color got it's name 'Dusk Rose' from a '57 Ford Thunderbird color code with the same name. It is not certain (yet) that these two colors are in fact the same. Nobody ever checked, Ford used a number of different pinks throughout the fifties and sixties and the legendary 'Playboy Pink' or 'Playmate Pink', for example, is slightly darker than 'Dusk Rose' and appears to be based on a 50's Lincoln color.
Now this info varies because I've seen other reports that these colors in the sixties the codes were left blank but I dont see that happening in reality. :)

Yeah, I guess it's also because we're in North America and we are likely to see more mustangs of course. STi's are really cool, they are very strong runners. When I was in Japan for 2 weeks I saw so many skylines like no other. GTR's and the regular GT's, I saw one mustang and one corvette through my 2 weeks of stay. Man those GTR's look so godly in person:drool: As for was the driver a chick or a man? I couldn't tell you because all Asians look alike........jk I really was not paying any attention to the driver but only the cars:) Got to love that TT sound.
