Mustang/Ford show

Just wanted to give you all a quick heads up on an all Mustang/Ford event we are planning to benefit Habitat for Humanity. It'll be a show/autocross/cruise on Saturday, and a poker run on Sunday. We initally planned for Sept 19-20 but that turning into too many conflicts..... so it'll be around that time.

As we get things ironed out I'll let you know.

The show will be in Phelps, NY, and again, to benefit Habitat for Humanity (tax deductable!). It won't be a typical show, some different award categories, games for kids, a chicken BBQ, etc. Phelps is located between Rochester and Syracuse in NY.

OK, the show/autocross/cruise is Sept 12; Poker run 13th. This is our inital show so we're hoping for a good turnout, and it is for Habitat for Humanity. Registration starts at 8 AM Sat, we'd like preregistration as much as possible. Pre-reg is $20, includes show, t-shirt, dash plaque, door prizes and the autocross if you want. Poker run is $20 and you can start at any point on either of 2 routes.
We're hoping VanBortel's will be the west-most point, it's not timed, just best hand. Route is about 130 miles. Day of show registration is $5 more. Chicken BBQ is $8 presale & 10 day of.

I have pre-reg forms, or can answer any questions at '[email protected] '; just subject 'car show' so I know its not junk!

Come on guys, should be a lot of fun and raise some money for a good cause. All ford products are welcome, not just the Stangs.

On a personal note.....my car should be back by the end of next week (can't wait!) and I plan to be driving it 24/7 for a week straight!! LOL

We need to get this thing in motion. I need a billboard for my yard. I am on Rt. 14 and there are a ton of cars driving by here daily. I have given flyers to a member of the Syracuse Shelby club. Hopefully we can get some results with those guys.

Just heard from another committee memeber we have NO pre-reg's!!
We've been trying to get the word out as fast as possible.
9 deuce.......not sure what kind of ad we can do for your yard......it sure would help! Maybe a couple of posters on a sign? My home number is 462-9842 if you want to contact me.

NOW, I'm waiting for injectors for my car! It won't stay runningthru the injectors but stays running manually putting gas into the engine....so I'm hopeful! I'm so pi$$ed off, it ran going into the shop and if this doesn't work I'm seriously going to take it to the local Mustang guru to see what he can do!

I actually got a sign from 'ol Iron horse. If this thing flies this year and we do this again, we need to work on a big Billboard type of deal. I want people swerving off the road because they are trying to read it!!!!!

What type of turnout are we expecting????

Registration Form

Got our first one yesterday. I figure everybody is waiting to see what the weather will be like... Over 500 flyers have gone out for this event not including whats been published on the web and emails... Did a test run of the autocross last night will be pretty neat.

Got my car back! Running really strong, but still taking it pretty easy to break it in.

Show is coming together, a decent number of pre-regs, a good sign! Went to Wegmans last nite and actually had a couple of guys chase me down to get entry forms.

I'll be working the registration table at the show.....I've got glasses, short hair & goatee....introduce yourself to me when you come in. Even pre-regs I'll have, for the goodie bag and windshield infor sheet.

9 Deuce....Man, everyone recognizes that car! LOL thats ok, I like to stand out in a crowd! Problem is I got a niece who says I never wave at her when we pass.....she drives a silver Civic, like there's only 1 or 2 of those around! LOL

Right now we've got almost 20 pre-regs, we just need the weather to co-operate...,.looks a little better now than yestedays forecast. Spread the word around!
