**** MUSTANG OWNERS

Not to sound like a broken record (been on vacation) but... There's practically no chance that I'd sell my car or any Mustang containing more than six cylinders to someone under the age of 21. I've personally seen some 100mph fly-bys turn into total disasters right before my eyes. Anyone care to guess the age demographic for the 3 viewed first hand? When Need 4 Speed (or whatever it was called) came out and enticed all the kiddies to the ricers I thought to myself, "Hmmmm... 140 to 200 hp Roy-Tota might keep them and someone else alive just a hair longer than 400 to 500 hp." It's not to say that I haven't met that exceptional 16 to 21 year old on a rare occation but it's just that.... RARE.

im a true mustang enthusiast i know these cars better then anybody my age or anybody under 18 .... in most cases

i work 30 hours a week and get good grades to restore one as of now. i might not to be easy on it but not alot of mustang owners are, im not another "dumb" kid not talking **** but i bet you i can handle a car better then 90 percent of the ppl on this board (ive been racing legend cars since i was 9 and i have news articles of me in the paper about a future in nascar) if you do not beleve ask anybody into legend cars and there racing in florida about me. ive loved these cars since ive first saw one on the road back when i was just a little kid. that is why it frustrates me so much about ppl not selling one to me i guess. Beleve me I know how bad it hurts to sell a car to a kid (even though i am one) i had to sell my 1979 camaro 383 last year cuz my mom didnt want to have 4 cars in her yard. i had plenty of punk kids askin me whats it like and "does it have NOS" i denyed quite a few ppl and i sold it to a friend of my stepdads that restores cars in miami.....

I think all(most) mustang owners who are selling their car are really cool. I have really good people skills and know about cars, and i'm only 17. I've test drove at least 2 dozen and they all were nice to me. You probably do have an anger problem, i wouldn't sell you my GT either (and you're only 15)

You: "im a true mustang enthusiast i know these cars better then anybody my age or anybody under 18 .... in most cases "

 Ya......sure :bs:

You: "im not another "dumb" kid not talking **** but i bet you i can handle a car better then 90 percent of the ppl on this board"

 riiiiiiiiiiight :rlaugh:

im not gona argue the driving or enthusiast thing cuz i got no way of proving it, but its ppl like you that test my patience. WTF is this place a counseling center? ****in gettin analyzed and ****.

yeah im only 15 but i bet you if you were saying this **** on the street to me id straight ****ing tear you apart. and how old are you? like 17? whats the big difference between the 2? i got 2 months till im 16. I bet you i could take your car and after 3 runs with it beat your best time BUT how the hell am i suppose to prove that? this ****s stupid.last time im posting something like this........

yes i got a tad bit angry. you guys gona be my mom and tell me i got a anger problem and youve never even met me?

BTW I bought a car today and i didnt freak out and kick his ass

blue venom im not hear to argue , and talk about how whos a better engine builder

this thread can turn into a 10 page nightmare and i dont feel like going through it. maybe i asked with it with the title but beleve me thas the last time im doin somethin like that

No I don't want to turn it to an arguement either.
I was really just see if you did have anger problems and I would say you don't.Sorry I was just trying to see if you were sincer and you were.So I'm sorry if I sounded like a jerk at first. As for Super302 your only 17 so I wouldn't be talkin'.Your fine with me Stang2841 :nice:

If you read my post correctly(which you obviously didn't) i was saying that age doesn't matter, its all about being nice to the seller. Both of you 15yr olds have huge ego's, you can think you are the best driver ever, but you're not. Also, this is definately not tech, its not even really talk, post somewhere else. And by the title of the forum, you're saying **** yourself. :nice:

People come on tech to get help and to help TECHNICAL problems, not attitude problems.

Moderators:close this thread, its going nowhere

your a jackass dude , go ahead close this thread i dont give a ****

im nice to the seller the one guy that told me straight up he wasnt gona sell it to me i helped remove the interior with him to buy the car took 3 hours out of my day and he screwed me over. your telling me you wouldnt be frustrated ?

your 17 dude your barely a year older then me. and i can guarantee if u gave me your car and your best time at the track id out run you, but theres no way to prove this point so im not even gona bother.

PLZ close this thread so i dont got to argue with this jackass no more

First, I never braged that i'm old, you obviously didn't read my post corectly.
Second, you never will drive my car, so quit bringing it up. Mr. Ego :nonono:
Third, we don't care that your a boxer, your 5 foot 8, etc., and if you don't care that this thread gets closed, then quit posting. :rlaugh:

i will have to agree that there is no way i would sell my car to some kid so it could be beat to peices. too much hard work. HISSON-great job (we usually seem to see eye2eye). others here made great points. my opinion this went way too far, these are kids and this is how kids act. as for your thoughts that legend racing is going to make you God of E.Ts, please think again. i doubt you could get a 03 cobra into the 14s.

Kids these days :bang:

quite a topic considering the day i had.
i just sold my 1968 f-100 today, to compensate for the 91 gt i recently aquired. i had a choice, it was either sell the f-100, or, my 1965 project mustang, the truck got the axe, but not joyfully.
sure it was just an old truck, but i love cars and trucks, and it was in pretty good shape considering, and i have on some level bonded with every car i've had since i was 17.
about two weeks ago, a young kid called me about my truck, and while i too remember being that age i was a little hesitant that he was younger for several reasons, 1, i did'nt want my sweet 36 year old truck being abused by an un-appreciative kid, 2, it could be any one but there's also some predjiduced with younger people because, lets face it, often times your selling a car from your home, and with the way some kids are today, how many of us car guys want some young kid and maybe his buddies seeing all our tools, our cars, where we live, etc........you have to be carefull with things like that.....
he came to look at the truck, was a nice kid, he loved the truck, wanted it, but ofcourse was waiting for some other kid to buy his car, to get the money, and ofcourse that fell through and he didnt buy it.
several years ago i had a 68 chevelle i was selling, two kids came to look at it, they were nice enough, but over did it with checking the car out.......they were supposed to come by the next day and look at it again, my g/f and i get home ( condo, with parking lot parking at the time ) only to see these two kids in the parking lot, hood up, pulling spark plugs and trying to be little mechanics, while we werent even home, for a 1500 dollar car.......lmao
sooooooooo, lol, i too, and i know it's not always right, cringe some what when i'm selling a car to some one who seems a little young. when i was younger i brought a parent with me and that helps as it's much more refreshing ( usually ) when an older person is present, not to mention, people dont wanna see some one get killed in their car, let along just the love of the car, especially with something like a 5.0.
alot of us are picky about who we sell to, often times we don't really wanna sell it to begin with but have to make room for a new project etc.
the guy who bought my truck today saw how atatched i was to it and i think it was actually a selling point and a testament to what a good vehicle it was, and i made sure to tell him to take care of her as he drove off.......lol........god i think i'm depressed......i'll go sit in the 5.0 to make myself feel better...............
anyway, just thought this was pertinent to the subject at hand as i just went through this and have been through it many many times......drive on................................................................

I can handle a car alright, I would never brag that I was better than others, that just dumb. Good drivers just shut their mouths and don't reveil things, put the power to the pavement not your mouth. I'm not ragging at you but you need to relax, I'm one of those people that if I had to sell my car, I think I would want applications and references. If you are giving a cocky attitude to me then I wouldn't be too impressed either. If you have a love for theses car then have patience, it's along process finding a new baby. good luck
