Hey guys, i know a lot of you are running the 3 inch fiberglass cowl hood. I know fiberglass and the tendancy it has to not fit very well, i need to know if any of u have ordered the one from mustangs plus part number 1119. And i would like to know if u had to do a lot or a little tweeking to get it to fit right and if u did any other places you guys would recomend to get the hood.

Thanks,
Matt

I got a shelby style hood from them and my body shop had to make many body mos to fit it, including taking out the grill. the front lip comes down too far. maybe they do this so you have to buy thier aftermarket grill. or maybe i just don't like mustang plus

if you live in FL....have you tried NPD? They are in Ocala. Also, Mustangs Unlimited is in Atlanta. It will be MUCH cheaper to ship from there.

I bought some fiberglass from M+ and it all fit great. No problems. Also shipping was under $100. Have them look into shipping via Greyhound frieght.

I ordered my whole suspension from Mustangs Plus and they didn't give me free shipping.

I doubt you'd get free shipping from NPD either on anything large/bulky/heavy, as their "Free Shipping on orders over $300" is very restrictive & excludes just about everything larger than a matchbox (joking, but read the fine print and you'll see a lot of "this item not eligible for free shipping").

I think Mustangs Unlimited is better for their free shipping. If you live in FL, I'd order from Mustangs Unlimited because then you won't have to pay sales tax.

Doesn't Mustang Depot carry the Meier brand fiberglass? I think that they do.

M+ won't care how much you buy, you won't get free shipping. But like I said look into Greyhound freight (tell M+) to put things in triangular boxes. And living in Fla you shouldn't have to pay Cali sales tax buy I could be wrong.

Mustang + will not give you free shipping on that because it is a extra large item. But I have seen a lot of their glass work and most people I konw had to do little to no adjustments to get there stuff to fit right. I just bought a bunch of suspension stuff, including leaf sprigs, coils, etc and the shipping was cheaper from mustangs+ than it would have bee from NPD in michigan to me in Ohio. I really like what I got and so far it has fit perfect. I have not finished putting it all in yet so I could be jumping a head. LOL. They had my stuff to me a day early and even had a sale on when I ordered so I got to upgrade and buy a little more. I would reccommend that you give them a call and see what they have to say. Get a catalog and look it over. Good luck.

Richard.

NPD has an Ocala location, so you could drive up there and pick it up...save big time on shipping...but you'll have to pay taxes...I love mustangs unlimited...was up there today...very good about shipping too.
