will the ford focus mp3 player fit in a mustang?

no. I mean it could, but you'll need to swap out entire harness, as mustang and Focus use different harness, and if you have Mach460 or Mach1000, i don't even know where to begin. Mach system is CD Tuner, Not reciever, and thre for no amp is built in. Focus system in pic is CD recevier with built in amp. you'll be better off just get some after market MP3 player(which as far as I'm concerened, better look and performance anyway).
my frined (who is salesman who sold me my GT) has 03 Focus with perticuler CD player in his car, and although, may look "slightly" better then Stock unit on mustang, it sound like anyother Ford OEM CD plyer. Just that it plays MP# and have bigger display with bigger letters, so that old people can read them with ease

just get an aftermarket mp3 player. I like clarion and pioneer's personally.

I was thinking of an aftermarket one but i don't like that gap that is left when install an aftermarket one... I have mach 460 I just wanted something cheap and I saw that one on ebay selling for 150 I noticed some windstars and explorers have mp3 stock players maybe i will use that..

The MACH systems are difficult to work with...it's almost an all or nothing approach when looking at upgrading the 460 or the 1000. I would also try the sound and shine board they might have some good ideas
