My cobra will idle when I first start it for about 2 mins then it will lope and die and for some reason while Im driving it will idle fine but when I go to stop at a redlight or anything like that the car will die when the rpms come after slowing down
Im still learning about these cars myself but assuming your timing is good, Id check the Idle Air Valve on your TB, my car doesn't die but almost wants to and I hear these things get clogged over time.
mine does this sometimes i pulled codes and it gave me a too lean code a few times and an EGR code i have not checked the EGR yet but its a place to start
yeah if you're getting EGR at idle it will die, if you can reproduce the problem in your driveway, pull the EGR vacuum line and see if that helps, if it does it means your EGR is stuck open, if it is you might be able to clean it and get it unstuck.
I figured out the problem and its the POS iac that I bought from AUTOZONE! Dont go the cheap route and spend the extra money to get a motorcraft iac otherwise you will end up in the same position as me.
