Mustang wont Idle down......

Hello everyone, i am new here. I have a 2001 mustang gt. I am having problems with my idleing. About a year ago, i had to have the IAC replaced cause my car wouldnt idle at all. Now my car wont idle down. if i just start it and let it idle it will sometimes idle high then go back to normal, and continue to do this. And when i am driving it, say i am doing 3000 rpms and i push in the clutch, it wont idle down, it will just stay at 3000 rpms. can anyone help me please.....

I highly doubt it's the tps. a bad tps will have more of a effect on transition from idle to p/t or f/t if your tps was bad you might notice a stumble, but nothing like this problem.

most likely another bad iac. also check to see if you have excessive oil being sucked into the intake. either you bought a cheap autozone type IAC or somthing is ruining your IAC

+1

If you can get to hang while you are parked, get out and unplug the harness going to the IAC if it idles down and tries to die you know thats your problem. Sometimes just tapping it with a metal wrench will make it start working again also.
