When at idle, my A/C slowly stops working and gets hot. As soon as I start moving, it starts cooling again. When I'm on the freeway, it feels like I'm in a freezer.

there is only one fan if its working, then its maybe the compressor. when your stopped rev the motor to like 2000 rpms and see if it cools, if it does it maybe the compressor. You really need to hook up some guages.
