I tried selling my stock air box and tube on E-bay with no luck. Could be that mine was a SD unit though I bet a mass air unit would sell better. I still have it some where.
When I got my 87' GT it was in rough shape on the outside needing paint but still sported the original motorcraft plug wires, plugs, smog crap and original exhaust, including the mufflers with a millon pin hole leaks. And the interior was nearly perfect. The first thing I did was get a cold air kit to get the stock air box out the way. I always liked getting stock Stangs because it's more fun to mod them yourself instead of getting a wreck thats raged out already.

My 91 had one, I tried to keep it, but someone threw it away.

My mom called it a "noise maker" because the engine was quieter without the so called air silencer.
