Its been like this for awhile and im not sure how it got like this. You can see the black oil around the bottom part of the diff. How hard is it to change it and can i get another cover for cheap?

Everything else looks fine and the car drives fine. Looks like both sides is kind of chipped off (not broke), but chipped off, so i would need awhole new thing right or i might just be the cover thats chipped, but i cant tell. I been looking @ it but havent done anything about it for months. Since i look it alot more while changing the midpipe im going to get it fixed.

EDIT!!
I was looking on ebay and my cover look exactly like this one. You see the chipped part at the bottom? Well i have the same spots, but the bottom of my diff. is covered in black oil so wtf. MAybe its not broken and i can see the rubber seal so i might need a new seal.

Anyone else have a build up of black oil around there differential?

Mine has the notches and I have build up because the dealer did my rear gears so I still have residual oil.

Most likely you're just looking at RTV gasket sealer between the cover and the housing. If there is any actual oil leaking out, then you need to pop the cover, reseal it, and refill with fresh fluid.

Have a look at the front of the diff to see if your pinion seal is leaking?

Also if you have to replace your cover you could upgrade it to the builit proof FRPP cover and just use RTV to seal it up.
