So I never picked up that 10th annv. I asked you guys about, (test drove it, would bottom out over the smallest bumps) but I did pick this one up. Its a 2004, 17k miles, stock except for flowmasters. This is my first svt, so I'm sure I'll have questions later on (did a lot of research, but I'm sure I've missed some things) Anyway, here are some pics, but the car is kind of dirty.

Very nice! Be sure to read the "FAQ" over in Tech if you haven't already. It holds a wealth of information on the 03/04 Cobra's.

Most people don't realize the huge difference between the cobra and the Gt. Most people who ride in a cobra say it ruins their enjoyment of their gt as it just gnaws and gnaws at them lol.

Thanks for the compliment. I also read the FAQ when doing my homework before buying the car

As far as the gt vs. cobra, I never stepped up to the svt before, probably because I had to much sunk into my 5.0. When it came to finding my replacement, I pinned it down to the new gt, or a used terminator. After test driving both, I went this route as the new gt was to much of a step back in performance for me. As much as people hate this irs, I so far love it. (great ride quality, but I haven't launched it hard or anything yet)

Also, this is not only my first svt, but my first 4.6 (never even owned a 2v before) I love this 4v engine and car.

Ive always owned push rod Mustangs but this is my first SVT as well. I dont think I could ever go back to owning just a GT now.

Your Cobra is very nice, I wanted to get an 03/04 when I first started looking for another Mustang but Im glad I ended up with the one I did. Do you have any mods planned for it?

Thanks,

I think for now the only things I'm going to do to it are cai, and get one of those sct x3's. (thought I read somewhere these be used to read check engine codes?)

BTW, your car sounds like a great ride. I would have loved to have a 351 in my car. The only reason I sold my 95 was because I had the car for over 7 years, and when I compared the amount I put in vs. what was needed to finish it (wanted better block & internals so I could crank up the boost), figured it was time for a new car.

What about you, any plans for your ride?

Yes, almost all of today's handheld programmers will read the ECM codes including the offereings from SCT.

Good choice on the colour too. I've never been a fan of the Anniversary wheels either. The silver and chrome go really well together. Nice find.

Congrats!

I have had my 2004 Cobra since she was just a baby w/16 miles on her. Since then I have dumped serious $$$$$ into her. After owning this Cobra I don't think I could switch to anything else.

You will love this car. Take good care of her. Be careful though, the mod bug comes easy with these cars.

You will never regret this purchase. I ordered mine from the factory and picked it up on September 30, 2002. I bought the extended warranty so I havn't done much to it yet. It is still as enjoyable as the day I bought it.

Not only is it a great street ride, but a perfect highway cruiser. I drive mine from Toledo to Ventnor, New Jersey about four times a year. It is not only rock-solid, the power on demand at cruising speeds is just a joy. Not only that, but the seats are sooo comfortable. No fatigue at all in that department. Compare that to my '99 vert's seats. What a difference.

Enjoy your new ride in all of its aspects and don't dis the IRS. It will take all you can give it as long as you don't abuse it.

Have fun!
