This is Jayden Rebecca, had her lastnight, planned on regular birth but had some complications and had to do imediate C-section. All is well though.

7 lbs 14.1 oz born on 9/16/09 1:21am.

20.5 inches long

My little cutie

Beautiful. Congrats. 1st? Mine is 18mos and it seems like yesterday my wife and I were in the parking lot of the hospital confused on how to install the baby seat. Before you know it she'll be saying mommy/daddy just making you weak in the knees. Loss of sleep is totally worth parenthood.

My Daughter named my Grandson Jayden, 4 months ago.
The first thing you want to teach her as soon as she can understand is to take 2 words out of her vocabulary, "I can't" .

Thanks guys, it seems like it was just yesturday we were just finding out we were expecting!

And yes, I have a 2007 Ford 500 that is our family vehicle.


I am still in the hospital, have to spend 3 nights here. Pretty fun!

I used a towel folded over a few times, but as tight as the seat requires to be, it still leaves an imprint. What I would do was take the seat out when I knew it wasn't going to be used daily and that helped the leather relax. What shocks me is how many people don't install the seats correctly and you see them going down the road and the kid is rocking the car seat side to side It takes quite a bit of pressure pushing your knee/body weight to get the belt tight in a cramped space, but at least I always knew my kid was as safe as possible every time

congratulations!!!! Enjoy it! The first years are fun (they're tough too, but that a different story...).

Absolutely do put a blanket under the car seat!
I just bought my 09 GT 5 weeks ago "even though" we have a 3 1/2years and an 11month old kid. Here's what I did:

1. I bought seat protectors like these:
Amazon.com: Kiddopotamus Duomat 2 in 1 Car Seat Protector Mat: Baby

I bought two for the infant car seat, folded them in half, put one on the seat itself, the other (also folded) on the seat rest. The will provide enough "foamy" padding for your seats and it will allow you to strap down the car seat really tightly so it won't move around.

2. I bought a bathing towel, big enough to cover the entire back seat (about 4x5 feet) at Bed Bath and Beyond (for like $15), then I cut holes into the towel where the Latch connectors need to go through. I put this towel on top of the seat protectors. My car has black leather interior, so I bought a black towel. It's hardly noticeable.

3. I bought the following Seat Back Protectors:
Amazon.com: Auto Seat Back Protector 2 Pack: Baby

These go on the back side of the driver's and passenger's seat.
Both the towel and the seat back protectors will prevent stains by spills on the seats. And believe me, those spills will happen. The kids drop milk bottles all the time, and milk leaves nasty stains on leather and fabric.

4. Finally, I bought these heavy duty rubber floor mats for the rear floor:
Amazon.com: Rubber Queen 70501 4 Piece Vinyl Floor Mats - Black: Automotive

You can cut them to size to fit the Stang. For me, they have prevented many stains on the carpet.

I know all of the above sounds like a real pain in the *ss, (and it probably is), but this is the kind of compromise I was willing to do so I could buy the Stang (without getting the divorce right now...).
