Hey guys! This is my first post and I wanted to post pics of my new project 65 coup. Its a 289 3speed car. I got it on a deal last week and have started stripping it down. It seems to have all the normal 40 year old problems so far. I'm not sure what the end goal is yet. I have a long way to go. Both front fenders are going to be replaced. There wasn't a hood on the car, the drivers door skin is in pretty bad shap. There isn't much rust on the frame, but Im 99% sure the cowl is leaking. The floorpans are going to be replaced soon. This thing set in a field for about 5 years. It still has grass hanging off of it

Its going to take some work, but I bought it to be a project. The only thing I have a problem with so far is deciding where to start.

where to start lol let the stripping begin.... rip her apart best way to find what you really need to do to her..... take the fenders off.. pull the engine.. and start wire wheeling every rust spot you can find..... oh yeah make sure you got some music that always helps

I have started stripping her and found a variety of interesting things. Found a nice pair of vintage 1970's sunglasses.. the big bug shield kind with two toned lenses... a pack of rolling papers... a colony of ants, nest of wasps, a dead rat.. and part of a letter that some guy wrote to a friend.. I say part because the other part was used by the deceased rat to make his nest in the glove compartment. This weekend I hope to have the interior completely stripped as well as most of the front clip taken off.

Just remember, the more of a P.I.T.A they are to complete, the more fun they are to drive.

With that said, good luck.
