SO with so many issues on this car me and the wife have decided the Steeda is going back to showroom condition(or as close as I can get it). She is tired of it all and just wants to drive the car.. lol. I cant blame her, but I still want a LS1 Killer. It is a vert that I will never put a roll cage in, so this limits my track fun.

I will be putting a 2v back in it and saving my 4 valve for an all out Street/Strip 800 HP beast .

I am building a new shop with a lift soon to help me with all of this. What I was wanting was any advice from the guys running the track alot.

what is a good class to set the car up for with a TT and still streetable. I want to run a class but I still wanna be able to drive it to the local car shows. (full interior)

I am building the engine myself this time with the help of a friend who has been building race engines his entire life. I was think a custom TT 67mm setup.

would a single be a better choice? if so why?

all MM suspension. what should I look for to make it hook?

any other info the racers can lend me would be appreciated.

oh and if ya find any 96-04 GT's salvage title or otherwise cheap, let me know.

Are you serious???

Did you even drive the car with the 4V??

Why don't you shop for a Fox 4cyl and go from there. You can get one for super cheap and with access to a lift the swap should be just slightly more complicated than putting it into a new body. Just a thought. 4V Notch FTW!!!

lol, yeah I am serious. yes I drove the car with the 4 valve. I might not have mentioned it here on this forum, but it spit a rocker and bent 2 valves... can only assume oil pressure because it was never reved past 6000, and thats light stuff for a 4 valve built like this.

it was a beast for sure, but honestly I have always wanted a good track car, and a turbo setup. this is my chance to do both and still have the vert as a SWEET weekend cruiser.

the notch Idea is one I have tossed around. I may do it, but there is another guy here local building one and It would still take a donor car to get that accomplished.

I have time to think this through and gather parts though because I am building the new shop before any of this happens. hell I may fix the head on this one for the time being and drive it... who knows.

but in the end the Steeda will be back to stock and I will have my hotrod.
