Yeah i just used the chart to see if my phone was working 100% with sync (text messages mainly since apparently when im driving is when EVERYONE in the planet chooses to text me) and the iphone cant do it....neither can the droid....so yes i have a super phone...and a super mustang and eventually the tech will catch up with my phone. Until then i'll enjoy triple digits and acceleration that my mustang provides!

Go buy a camaro. Then get on a gm forum and complain about not being able to see where you are going

Then go buy the audi and complain on an audi forum about your headlights randomly not working

Then decide which one you want

OP, if you're still around, why not give Ford customer service a shout. My wife is having serious issues with the MyFordTouch/SYNC in her Explorer, and they have been very supportive. There is new software coming out first quarter of next year to fix our current issues. Perhaps some of that 'fix' can find it's way over to the Mustang line. Can't hurt to ask. I understand you're peeved. Believe me, I was in your shoes after visiting the dealer when the issue first occurred. But I've been a lifelong Ford customer, and I can't see throwing the baby out with the bathwater. At least give CS a shot. My 2 cents....

Why is anyone surprised that SYNC is such a POS? The radio in my '94 SHO crapped out when the car had < 50k miles, and anyone I've ever talked to about Fords before or after has always had electrical problems. Did you think it would be better because of the Microsoft label?

Weird, i had the same phone paired to my 2010 and it has worked just fine with zero issues. Perhaps it is the phone?

Did you all buy the car because of sync? Do you have to have it? Is it an option or a standard feature? I personally couldn't care less about it since none of the other 20 cars I have ever owned had it. I can't believe people would be put off on an entire make of vehicles because some extra entertainment system didn't work on their vehicles. All the fancy computer electronic gizmos in cars are rushed through to get the sale. These systems are not made for cars and they haven't been around long enough to have all the bugs worked out yet. Not just Ford, I've been reading about it for years.

I agree .... I never even hooked mine up and might not ever. That is not why I bought my Mustang.

The value of each system in these cars if different from owner to owner. I don't understand the need to bash people that have issues with a system that might not concern you. Sync is an option...I get that. But, the consumer paid for it with the expectation that it should perform. 3.73s and Brembos are options. Should someone complain if they don't perform as designed? If your leather seat tears prematurely, should you just shut up because you should have gotten cloth? HIDs? Value and expectations, like opinions, vary from customer to customer.

No, but to discount an entire manufacturer due to one minor electronic hiccup is retarded. It's like saying your windows system shut down and therefore you'll never buy another Dell computer... makes literally no sense. If he had griped simply about the Sync system alone it would be one thing. OP also made no attempt to rectify the situation by trying a different cell phone.

So true! Every time I drive our Camaro, I can't see out of the side glass. Oh well. Thankfully I get to drive the Mustang as well.

The Chevy dealer was so tired of the complaints about visibility in Camaros that they now issue a saw-zall with every new one. Good thinking.

Not to mention that this is a Mustang enthusiast forum. The VERY existence of this forum is based on a group of folks who look to IMPROVE on what Ford made. Your Fox body suspension doesn't do what you want? We got people for that. Not enough HP? We got mods for that. Want ear bleeding audio? There are folks here who KNOW how to make that happen... Not interested in such things? Buy a repair manual.

but wait... My SYNC doesn't work. Let's buy a mitsabitchy?

Im not buying another Ford because my tires wore out too fast.

The AM reception on my radio is terrible!

Not to mention my cigarette lighter died after only 4 years.

Oh ya, the paint on my wiper arms has faded. This is just unacceptable.

Maybe Ill buy a Toyota, I hear they drive themselves really fast.

No, I think I might get a Chevy so I can recoup some of my tax dollars.

Better yet Ill get a 60,000 dollar BMW and mod it to beat Mustangs. I bet it has a great radio!

DoubleTap -

Do you happen to have any Outlook contacts synced with your Evo?

For anyone that is experiencing SYNC, navigation, or MyFord Touch-related concerns, feel free to send me a private message.
