My Trannys leaking at the speed sensor! WTF?

Ok,

I replaced the rubber "O" ring around the shaft of the speed sensor and its still leaking!!!

Anyone got any tips to get this to seal?
I noticed a lot of smoke yesterday under my car and it was the ATF burning on the exhaust!

Could I use a ring of RTV around the end of it?
Obviously dont want this leak

seems to be leaking at this point in the trans

Most likely the sensor itself is leaking internally. That was common as the seals inside aged. Change your sensor and off you go.

That sucks as its getting really bad,
Im going to have a look at it tonight and see if theres anyway I can seal it,

question... do you have the c clip that bolts onto the tranny that holds it in? if not this is your problem.

Yes I have that clamp,

Nice and tight,

But im going to double check everything tonight,
I think it might be the internal link thing

mine was doing the same thing bought a new sensor and it was perfect... i have had more drivetrain problems...ol

Well I cleaned everything up and put it all together,

Ill check to see if the problem persits,

If so then I shall buy a new sensor,

Bloody thing causing me problems,
