So first I put on the Kenne Bell and they say, ditch the strut tower for clearance, so that went, then I put on hard top sportline springs with KYB AGX's all the way around. This lowered the car so much that the factory lower X brace had to be removed for ground clearence, with the brace the ground clearance was about an inch. So now that's gone. I did get subframes welded on and also have a small Maximum motorsports K-member brace. I got a performance alignment with new yokahama ES100's up front and the car just doesn't handle well. It seems like it should. Grrrrr, any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Here's a pic

Buy some decent lower control arms Griggs, Pro3i, MM, EvM.

Sportline springs lower the car way too much. Those AGX's are not helping the equation. http://www.koni-na.com/presentations/mustang/

Hey Man,

My 94 vert has the following pcs on it and handles really well. FMS convertible springs, mach 1 tokico shocks and struts, Hotchkis caster camber plates, aluminum offset rack bushings, and subframe connectors. My car is very low and I scrape the x brace on a lot of things but it is there for a reason so I left it. I have a modified 94-95 cobra strut brace but the car only feels a tiny bit different without the bar(it is off right now). I am running BBS RK wheels 8.5 in the front with a 265/35 and 10 in the rear with a 295. Many of my friends are very surprised that this big heavy pig of a convertible actually handles so well. Hope that helps.

looks great!

i am in a similar boat as you ...

i had intax 2" springs that lowered it so much that i scraped on everything and bottomed out all the time. i also couldn't get a proper alignment so the front tires wore out quickly. i did not want to lose the k-member brace, so i kept it on.

i had a steeda stb and the car was much firmer

then i put installed the blower and had to lose the stb

i just installed coil-overs and c/c plates so i can set the ride height and also get the alignment right.

but i still have no strut tower brace

ot: are you going with a water/meth injection system? mine pings after i've been driving a while because the blower gets so hot it heats up the intake air to over 210*

Mine handles fine and I also removed the x brace and the strut tower brace and have sportlines. Maybe it just the shocks cause I went Tokico all the way around. I have the steeda cc plates but never got around to installing them. Something funny is that I have neither sway bar and no subs and my car handles fine. Do you have the axle dampners?

I ran my car without a ST brace and it was horrible. Looked like an old jalopy running down the road.

I have stock suspension though.

94\95 Cobras did not come from the factory with a STB. Sounds like the componants are not matched well together for good handling.

I usually only drive the car at night and when I had the dyno tune it was during the day when it was warm out so they tuned when the car was relatively warm, anyways no pings, I have done some research into water methanol injection and have been thinking about it.

Did you get your car dynoed? What were your #'s.

mine were 349 rwhp and 404 rwtq.

no dyno tune yet i want to get this pinging thing behind me and install the water injection first.

when (if?) i ever get around to it, my numbers will hopefully be similar to yours ... or maybe a little higher because mine is a 1.8L ...

i drive mine everywhere.
