So I have one of those square plastic retainer clips the goes to the door belt of the car, its one of those 87- early 88 ones that you cant seem to get anywhere. I find it hard to believe they manufactured these only for the mustang and only for 87, is there anywhere I can get these, I dont feel like drilling holes in my door.

does this hold the weatherstrip on? or something else?
what does agood one look like.

It goes here, this clip is the lone survivor as I have no idea where the rest are. This was the only one in place when I removed it as the old owner prob had the same issue and only used the one and the screw. The top flat part goes in the groove in the metal on the strip.

That would be the case for most of them but theres no hole in it

The old one doesn't even have the holes in the trim, they just slide onto the clip, as for the clips going in the door, they are a perfect fit, I only have one which is the problem.

EDIT---Go to LMR website and search belt molding clips. I think you can buy those from there.

The only ones I see that may work are the ones for 79-82, I might try those or the old fashioned way, go to the local autoparts place and look for something simular.
