N2O question

any of you ever heard of dynotune nitrous? i can get a complete kit for 300...just never heard of that brand before but with the reading ive done it seems to be a pretty good kit.... anyone have any experience with it?
 
Yes, I haven't read anything that stood out as being bad about them. Read that the people that have the kits are satisfied with it. I was looking at their kits as well when I was shopping.

I assume it's a used kit. If so, you say it's complete but does that include all wiring, WOT switch, arming switch, both solenoids, nozzle/nozzle nut, relay(s), feedline, lines from solenoids to nozzle, etc.? There's a lot little parts that can be left out that will keep you from installing the whole kit.
 
yes its used but it does come with everything to install it....thanks for the answer man! im hoping i can manage to get it cheaper than 300 though...that would make my day

oh and i believe its coming with a bottle warmer too!
 
No problem. I wouldn't pass it up even for $300, especially with the warmer as long as everything in the kit is working as it should.

If you get it, what size shot do you want to run?
 
i highly doubt ill go any higher than 75 shot...ill be pushing it with that probably since im running 10:1 compression..

i just got some 30lb injectors for it as well so i should be good on fuel...im just wanting some extra fun for now until i finish my s/c project...then i might either swap pistons and get the compression knocked down a little lower and run both or just run low boost and use the nitrous for a spray bar
 
Well, nitrous and higher compression go hand in hand. It's boost that isn't high compression friendly.

If you're using a wet shot, I'd go 100 shot. You're fine doing that on a stock pump and injectors, and if you have larger injectors that's not going to hurt anything. 75 is noticeable but will not give you the thrill you want.

To be safe, back the timing down 2*FROM STOCK (do not spray with advanced ignition timing is the point to take away here, lol) for a 100 shot.. I also added WOT fuel via my Predator.
 
cool thanks for the info.. not sure what my current tune has the timing set to but im getting it retuned shortly after the new injectors get thrown in..it being done by vmp so the tune will be perfect this time nut i guess ill need to let him know ill be spraying here and there with it
 
Sorry to go off topic real quick, but Night Shifter are you still running the stock springs with your HT stg. II's or did you upgrade them?
 
negatory...back when MPH was in business i had them port the heads and put in an all new valvetrain...i was planning on running the comp 270's back when i had them do the heads but if i would have know i was going to just be running cams with no sc i woulda just had them do the port work and leave the valvetrain stock....but its a good thing i had them done because i can rev the hell out of this car..

my friend marshell has basically the same setup as me(except he has shorties and an auto) with hitec 2's and hes has the stock valvetrain...he revs the car to about 6700 with no issues

just get a kit from AM and just use it like that. Nitrous systems should only costs 500. If i was going to spend my money on all these other things, i mines well should have just dropped another 1k and gotten my self a supercharger instead.

Only brand AM sells is ZEX. I'm not on the ZEX fan bandwagon.

There's nothing wrong with buying a used kit as long as everything is there and the solenoids are in good working condition. I paid $416 for my kit brand new last Black Friday, but it retails for $500 without the sale. That's still a good price for a plate kit with everything to drop into the car and go, which is what I did.

Point me in the direction of a $1,500 drop in and go blower setup and I'll sell my kit for one!

I've seen people let their used superchargers go for 2400 dollars. and its complete. I didnt say dont get nitrous, just not to put all your eggs in one basket.
 
i have a supercharger in the garage awaiting install...ill be doing a writeup on it soon because its a very custom set up...the N2O was going to just be for some extra fun here and there, then to be put towards a spray bar

unfortunately i had to take a trip to the doggie emergency room last night so it looks like i may not be getting any goodies i had planned for the car...which sucks cause i had a nice set of mach 1 c pillars coming my way along with the N20, IRS and some other goodies

Exactly, I mean, i use the nitrous for extra fun, but, whenever i hear supercharger or someone having one, i always think, "This guy means business"

But hopefully everything turns out for the better, times are rough these days, seems like i keep going through little obstacles each month myself. :(
