name three things that might be causing a ringing chain dragging noise underneath my 04 gt only when the car is moving. usualy between 2500 and 3000 rpms. not a constant noise but everytime i drive it will happen..

Loose bolts/nut along the exhaust somewhere?
Or possibly the exhaust rubbing on the chassis/body?

Check the exhaust heat shields, they can make some funky noises when they are loose or bent/rubbing.

Does it happen more over rough roads or is it more based on engine or vehicle speed?

Metal EVAP line fell out of its clip above the drive shaft? (happened to me)

where are the heat shields on the exhaust? its really not on speed it happens mainly between 2500 and 3k. but it could happen at other rpms. rough roads dont make a difference

its coming from under the car. i dont think it could be the spark plugs

He might not have the heat shields with the aftermarket H or X pipe he has. When I put on my Bassani X pipe I never put the heat shields back on.

i had an aluminum drive shaft put in yesturday i think the mech would have noticed that??

i have a mac prochamber i dont think i have the sheilds anymore

thats the metal peice infront of the brakes? idk i tried messing with those, i dont think its that. good idea though

You sure the car isn't pinging? It can make that noise you discribe. You say that it usually happens between 2500-3000, but what kinda throttle are you giving it?
