Roush Need 1999 SALEEN #282 VEIRIFIED

Hello,

I am in the middle of buying a 1999 Saleen mustang the bumper # reads 282. I have not yet seen the vin#. I want to go see this car with info in hand.

Could someone please get me the last 8 of the VIN# so that I can verify it's a real Saleen with my own eyes.
I will not be able to get the VIN# until I travel to see the car.

This is extremely time sensitive due to another buyer is lined up, so I have no time to debate with the seller.

I would be very thankful for any and all help!

99-282 is a coupe, last 3 of Ford VIN are 556.
Last listing shows it in Colorado, registered to a Bill Murphy.
Options would be Supercharger, twin gauge pod, hood, 3.08 gears, floormats, and upgraded (10" rear) chrome wheels.

1999 SALEEN #282

HEY I HAVE THE SALEEN MUSTANG #282 WITH THE LAST 3 VIN# MATCHING THE 556 I BOUGHT IT IN MAY OF 2006 SO JUST WONDERING IF THAT ONE YOU WERE REFERING TO WAS A CLONE.

Update

Any update on this story? We Saleen owners need to be more and more careful of cloning by disreputable people.

Nothing personal with iceman, but he has only one post, and no real credentials such as pics or details on the car.
You'd think that someone that had their cars identity stolen would be a little more interested in this, than to just say that he has the car.

You're right, any one can say they have any car, but any one can take a picture and say the car is their's. That's what concerns me, that there might be a clone out there. I would assume since I bought it from a Saleen dealership that it was the real Saleen #282 and not just a clone. What would it take so I can verify that the car is mine? Thanks.

Give Patty @ Saleen a call, she'll ask for the last 3 numbers of the vin #
and the car # and she will tell you real fast, she will probably want the complete
vin #, but at least you will know for sure!
