Come down to Beecher, IL and get them done by a local that is a tranny/rearend pro who also works for Ford. If thats not good enough go to Manteno, IL right next door to Beecher and see Troy Trepanier. He'll refer you to anything you need. I'd take his advice since he's only built Street Machine of the Year 3 years in a row which would include Sniper and Chicane. Besides, his shop will blow you away and hes really nice. We are only 40 minutes south of Chicago. Call DSS, they are in St. Charles, or UTI aka Hot Rod U, they are just south of Chicago. Plenty of places to go or places to get referrals.

Crap, if you got a big enough torque wrench I'll do them for 50 bucks. That reminds me. There is a junkyard just 10 minutes from me that is across the street from a Ford plant. They have rows and rows of V8 Fords. All roller stuff and I've seen no less than 10 disc brake rears, and three 9 inchers. Oh yeah, 50% off on Sundays. I'm getting an EFI 351 and turbo coupe rear for $150!!

Im in need of a short block. I heard rather than paying $2000+tax for a shortblock from DSS that I can buy a block and an engine kit and get it done for $1000 -$1500.

Are you talking about a 302? Just get an engine from a junkyard for $100 and get it rebuilt. Or go to a parts store and buy a short block for like 700-800 bucks. DSS is going to be much better though, but if you just need a good running 5.0 then go cheaper.
