bent my axle, and I need to get a new one now. Im gonna check the junkyard probably tomorow. What I want to know is, what cars have the same axle as mine? I have a rear from a 95 cobra.

Thanks

Do you mean just an axle shaft, or the whole rearend?
I think 94-98 GT's and Cobra's interchange, with just the brakes being different, so either way, look for those years. 99 up are 1.5" wider, so too wide for a FOX body, although they fit our cars (FOX-4 or SN95...) with a wider rear stance...

Yes. As far as I know, the shafts are the same for 94-98, Cobra or GT.
I'd like someone else to verify before I spend your money, though....

oo ok. Are there any vehicles besides mustangs that I can take from?

Let me also ask this....how long is the axle (pass side)? That measure would be tip to tip I guess?

right, as long as they are non-abs and fit that critieria.

Any "normal" wrecking yard will know what fits.

ok sounds good.

When I had my current rear apart, I took the abs wheel thingy's off. I plan to do that with w/e axle I get from a wrecker so I think that wont be a problem.

Sorry to beat the dead horse here, but will a 94-98 v6 axle work? I just want to make sure.

I doesn't give me V6 or V8 options. All I get is with or without ABS. I Don't think it will matter if it's 7.5 or 8.8. I know on the fox cars they do 5 lug conversions on they can use a 7.5 ranger axle is an 8.8 mustang.

As long as the ABS matches up you shouldn't have a problem

i dont think the v6 axle's would work. v6's are 7.5 gt's are 8.8, the axles arent the same. why wouldnt it matter if it was 7.5 or 8.8?
