I was up with the Mach getting an oil change today at the local Ford dealership and found an 03 red (not Redfire, looked more like performance red?) 10th anniversary vert terminator, bone stock, 11K, they had it listed for $30K. I checked and that price is somewhere between private party and dealer retail. I can't imagine my ins going up anymore than I'm already paying on the Mach, so I may just pull the trigger as I've always wanted one of these.....

Anyway does anyone know other than the 10th anniversary wheels and two tone seats and badging is there anything else that these had different than the regular cobra?

Nothing is different then what you listed...just badging to set it apart from the others....Somehow I just new you and verts went good together Work your magic on that price so your ends dont have to pay quite as much..

Yeah, you know me Cory, if they had made a Mach1 convertible, I'd have been all over that! Settled on a coupe, which is nice, but once you've had a vert, it's kinda in your blood, plus I saw yours and ASD's at SB recently and how bad a$$ they looked and got me thinking how much I miss my old one

Problem is that I really like the Mach, but can't keep them both....tough choice on this one.

Get the Cobra but dont give them the Mach quite yet....go home, trade out the rear axles...then give 'em the Mach

That's a good idea. That way with the live rear axel I could further "de-mod" by taking off the SLP catback and Prochamber...I hate to give away expensive aftermarket parts to dealerships who could care less....

Actually, they usually prefer it to be more stock for resale value anyway. Doubt they would even notice the cobra irs

A few other things that the 10th anniversaries have are the shift knob, shift boot, parking brake boot, and steering wheel are all a carbon fiber look. The wheels are 10th Anniversary and the calipers are red to match the seats. 30K is too high for a car with 11k miles, should be able to get them down. I would get it but that’s just me.
Good luck with what ever you decide,
Allen

You could even use that prochamber and the catback because if you change the rear end you'll need the over the axle catback.

Its fun to think of a live axle swap but reality is a ******... The only real reason to go live axle is if you drag race. If you do that the stock Mach 1 axle isn't up to the task of enduring a long time with a Cobra's torque. Plus, its a vert so you'd need a roll cage really quick anyway.

I think of verts as touring cars and you'd appreciate the IRS on the back roads. If you want a vert, its one of the fastest out there besides the new Vette or some European brand for twice the price and less performance. Beware the wheel hop...

Looks like Ed won . J/K If you are simply looking for the extra horsepower then I wouldn't personally do that because you may take a thrashing on the price of the Mach. If you were considering the car for the package deal then who gives a rip "its only money" Just my .02. Either way both nice cars.

Or the viper srt-10, but with gas prices over $3 the v-10 is not the best choice.

as far as insurance , I checked with my insurance agant and we compared my Gt with a cobra and a Z06 vette and it was the same. He said i am getting nailed with the hi-pro insurance and it didnt matter what car it was the same.
