I'm searching for a longblock/shortblock for my 95 since mine is screwed up. The car is back to stock. I might of found me an engine. But has high miles on it. The thing is, it comes from a Lincoln MarkVII so you know it was some old fart driving that thing.

Which is better :

A 95 000 miles engine from a Mustang, which you know it got beaten the chit out of it all its life

or

A 125 000 miles engine from a Lincoln MarkVII, which was 90% sure babied all the time by some old guy and propably never even seen 5000rpm.

I could get this longblock for cheap. I heard it running and it idles like new and doesnt puff any kind of smoke what so ever.

Whats your thoughts on that ?

I would go with the mark VII with a stang cam. That way it feels more peeper(sp?) they are more agressive. You don't want them to drive it and feel like a pig, they may think soemthing is wrong with it.

Theyre both 302HO engine. The cam might be different. But what I really need is a good shortblock so I can put my 95 h/c/I on. I'm leaning forward the Lincoln engine..

If that's the case I would take the high baby miles than lower beat the hell out of at every light mile motor.
