I changed a needed to rebuilt Holley 4010 to a Rebuilt 65 1.08 4100. I have the timing pretty close with a vacuum gauge & wanted to set the "wet" float level & finish tuning it. I am using the depth measurement of a Vernier Caliper. From what I understand, the front bowl should be filled up to .875 from the top & the back bowl should be 1" from the top. Both are higher. I tried to bend the small tab on the opposite side of the float ( the buoy part).......is this correct? It did not drop the level to .875. Am I doing this right & any hints????? Thanks in advance. Tim

Bend the tang that the needle rides on. That's what sets the float level.
