As some of you know I'm having some work done on my motor. Ran into a problem today that the 302 fuel rail will not fit on the Trick Flow R 351W lower. Needless to say I'm in need for a new fuel rail I'm trying to avoid spending the $500+ for the Aeromotive or Trick Flow Kits, its just not on the budget.

I did find a fuel rail kit that's for sale for a 351W in the add it says

"Item for sale is a fuel rail set for a 79-93 mustang with a 351w swap"

What I would like to know is will this fit on my 95 351W? I assume that it does not matter what year the 351w swap is going into, a 351W is a 351W either way regardless of its going in a 93 or a 95???

I would imagine the style or type of manifold would matter more the what year the 351W was going in.

Unless the 79-93 Foxes have some special ''hook ups'' for a 351W in that body style, I'd say your good the item in the ad.

From what others here have said, the 302 fuel rails will fit but you'll have to replace the rubber hoses with longer ones.

Do you mean the hose that goes in the front that connects the two rails? This is the area that the problem is coming from. This front connection is not long enough and its causing the fuel rails to be spread apart and not allowing the injectors to seat properly

Exactly. I haven't done this myself, just gleaned the knowledge from other 351 buildup threads. *looks* Found the thread! http://forums.stangnet.com/7063151-post11.html

Awesome thanks

It would be so good to use the stock rail. I PM'ed a few guys in that thread to find out where they got the hose they used to get it to work. I was looking at the PP fuel rails but after reading how much of piece of trash they are I'm not going to, I suspected that anyway.

I believe Pokageeks pain thread has a few people that chimed in on how they were able to modify the stock rails to go on a 351W. Pics included if I remember correctly.

when i did my 351 swap in my fox i cut the rubber divider line out and spliced in a 8" piece of braided line and put two clamps on each end to make sure nothing would slip. works great.

how much power are you wanting to make with 351w? If 500+ the go with upgraded rails.

I'm not making that kind of power right now that will need a fuel rail upgrade kit. It is something I would like to to regardless but not right now considering the cost of the kits b/c Ive already spent a lot on this build up.
