me & a friend (boss281) are "trying" to lower my car. this is turning into a friggin nightmare. ok we finally got one side on the front done & moved to the back on the same side. well we finally got the rear spring in after quite a while of beating the crap out of it, cause we dont have a spring compressor & its to late to get one at any auto parts store.

well the problem is we can't get the axle & the lower control arm to line up :bang: the holes are about a inch apart & will not line up at all :bang: is there anything we can try to get them to line up at all  thanks for any help :nice:

What my friend and I did when we changed my LCA's, we put the jack under the LCA, jacked it up as far as it would go, and jumped into the trunk.

The 2nd side we didn't have to jump into the trunk, it lined up fine.

Hey there is a good superbowl on. I did the rear - both sides then went to the front. Never heard of doing one side then the other. I think that is your problem because the rear is rotating on you.

I would start with putting the rear of the car (both sides) up on jack stands. Then place the hydralic jack under the rear differential and adjust it so that you can line the bolt to get it through. You also might need an adjustable jack under the lca so that you can move that too. Takes some wiggling, but you will get it.

how on earth would the rear rotate on the car  we did the front right first & then decided to do the rear cause we wern't sure we put the right spring in, cause it only lowered the car about 1/4 of an inch (i hope it settles & gets lower or i'm going to be really pissed  )
well i'll post a pic so you all can get a little better idea of what we are talking about :nice:
