Alright, i know this isnt about a mustang but there are alot of very knowledgeble ford guys in here. I was driving my g/fs car earlier with a full tank of gas, turned on the turn signal and the thing stalled going down the road. Also, we get going at about 60 and it decides it wants to go down gears, bounces off the revlimiter, shuts everything down, then picks up again and goes on like nothing happened. Does anyone know what could be doing this before something serious happens to her?

Im hoping this is something minor and cheap to fix, but my luck it isnt. Im just afraid it will kill the lights on her on her way to work at 5am

anything absurd and crazy like that would make me wanna check out the computer first. try to get a junkyard computer and throw it in there to see if it fixes it.

idunno where the ecu is but if its in the car you could try driving around and tapping it to see if that could cause the problem. i had an oldsmobile that used to do thatl. replaced the eprom and it was golden. come to think of it... the whole car was granny gold. heh.

whenever it messes up every dash light comes on lol. She has a warranty but i dont know if it covers electronics. I was kinda hoping it would be something simple like bad battery connection or alternator goin out but probably not
